Mrs. Margie Nell Reardon Long was born June 20, 1921, at Farmersburg, Iowa, the daughter of Alice Huckstadt and Ralph Reardon, and died of cancer May 30, 1956, in Des Moines after an illness of two years.
She attended the Farmersburg public school and Wartburg college, Waverly, and was a field worker out of the state social welfare office in Elkader until her marriage.
On May 01, 1943, she was united in marriage to Harry Long at Farmersburg.
She was a member of the Windsor Heights Lutheran church, Des Moines, and was organist of the church and director of the choir.
She was preceded in death by her father and is survived by her Husband, three daughters, Cynthia Ann, Karen Marie, and Barbara Kay, and her mother, Mrs. Alice Reardon, all of Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 02, from the Windsor Heights Lutheran church, Des Moines, at 9:30 a.m. and at the St. John Lutheran church in Farmersburg at 3:30 p.m., with the Rev. Ervin Schlachtenhaufen and the Rev. R. H. Steege officiating. Burial was in the Farmersburg and Wagner cemetery,
