Funeral services for Ralph C. Schlotfeldt, 54, superintendent of schools at McGregor and Marquette, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the high school auditorium in McGregor. Burial will be in the McGregor cemetery. The Rev. Leon Wallace of the Methodist church and the Rev, Francis Phelan of St. Mary's Catholic church will officiate at the services.

Schlotfeldt was stricken by a heart attack just as school was being dismissed last Monday afternoon. He collapsed at his office and died in a few minutes.

He was born June 12, 1901 and graduated from high school at Vinton. He received his bachelor of arts degree at Iowa State Teachers college and his masters degrees from the University of Iowa. He came to McGregor three years ago, from Lone Tree.

Schlotfeldt leaves his wife, who is a teacher in the McGregor high school and a daughter, who is a freshman there. His aged father, Louis, also lives at the McGregor home.
