Funeral services for Mrs. George Hebron, 74, were held at the First Methodist Church in Strawberry Point on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 13, with the Rev. Robert L. Smith officiating. Burial was in the Strawberry Point cemetery with the Gill Funeral service in charge of arrangements.

Martha Jane Bowers was born at Strawberry Point on Sept. 17, 1883, the youngest child of Archie and Ellen Truair Bowers. On Aug. 11, 191_ (looks like 13 or 18), she was united in marriage to George Hebron at Manchester. The couple has lived on the Hebron farm southeast of Strawberry Point until this time. Mrs. Hebron died at the Delaware County Memorial hospital in Manchester shortly after midnight on Sept. 11, following a brief illness.

Survivors include her husband and one brother, Winfield Bowers of Strawberry Point. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
