A simple graveside service was held in the community cemetery Sunday afternoon over the ashes of Mrs. Bernice Bernard, wife of Dr. Ransom D. Bernard, late of Ames, formerly of Clarion. Mrs. Bernard died at her Ames home following a long illness.

Dr. Bernard, his daughter, Mrs. James M. Black of Iowa State College Engineering School, and daughter Bernice, Lyle Corlett of Philadelphia, Penna., and Miss Esther Worra of Clarion were present. The prayer was offered by the Rev. George M. Richter, of United Church of Christ, Congregational Christian Church.
