Funeral services for Gottlob Adam Weger, 83, were held at the St. Sebald Lutheran church on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 26. The Rev. H. Cronrath conducted the services and burial was in the St. Sebald cemetery.

The deceased was born in the St. Sebald vicinity on July 04, 1874, the son of George and Julia Reck Weger. He never married but farmed in the St. Sebald community with his brother until his retirement. For the past 12 years he has made his home with two nieces, Lena and Frieda Zwanziger, in Strawberry Point. He had been in apparent good health and attended church services of Sunday. He died peacefully during the night and his death was not discovered until he failed to respond when called Monday morning.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters. Only one brother, John G. Weger of Strawberry Point, survives along with 11 nieces and 12 nephews.
