Funeral services for Kenneth Lou Raders, 30, were held at St. John Catholic church in Delhi Saturday morning, February 15. Burial was at Strawberry Point.

Raders died early Wednesday at Veterans hospital in Iowa City of cancer. Born May 09, 1927, at Masonville, he was the son of the late Lou Raders and his wife, now Mrs. Cyril Gavin of Strawberry Point. He graduated from the Strawberry Point high school and served two years in the armed services before enrolling at Upper Iowa university in Fayette. He received his bachelor's degree from that institution and was employed as athletic coach and high school principal at Delhi for four years. In 1955 he went to Wellman, Iowa, as principal of the school there. When schools in that area were reorganized last summer he was named superintendent of the Wellman school in the Mid-Prairie district. He received his master's degree from the state university of Iowa in the summer of 1957.

Survivors include his wife, the former Helen Waring of Strawberry Point; three children; Sherri Lynn, 8; James, 3, and Mary Lou, 1; his mother, Mrs. Cyril Gavin of Strawberry Point; a brother, Leon of Long Beach, California, and three sisters, Mrs. George (Mary Alice) Farrell of Syracuse, New York; Mrs. A. D. (Bethel) Steffens of Garden Grove, California, and Mrs. Neil (Helen) Dittmer of Upland, California.

Students in the Wellman school have begun a scholarship fund for his children as a memorial to him. Contributions are being received at the Wellman State bank in Wellman, the Union Bank and Trust Company in Strawberry Point and at Delhi.
