Funeral services for Edmund William Kaiser, 60, of Bensenville, Ill., who was killed accidently in the yards of the Milwaukee railroad at Bensenville Friday night, Jan. 24, were held at the Schultz funeral home in Monona Thursday afternoon, Jan. 30, at 1:30 o'clock with the Rev. R. C. Schlueter officiating. Burial was in the Lutheran cemetery at Monona.

Edmund, son of William and Augusta Groth Kaiser, was born July 31, 1897, in Clayton county on a farm near National. He spent his early life on the home farm, later moving to Monona with his parents. He received his education in the Monona public schools. In his later life he worked on the Milwaukee railroad and also in Dubuque for Farley and Loetcher.

He was married to Viola Reinitz in the Lutheran church at Garnavillo, Sept. 1_, 1921.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Eddie (Darlene) Fulkerson of Elmhurst, Ill., and Mrs. John (Juanita) Custer of Bensenville, Ill.; five grandchildren, Cheryl and Marsha Custer and Kurt, Talia and Jerry Fulkerson; five sisters, Mrs. F. G. Drahn, Mrs. Carl Schultz, Mrs. Werner Kishman, Miss Else Kaiser, all of Monona, and Mrs. Arnold Hoferer of Clay Center, Neb.; four brothers, Emil of Larned, Kan., Raymond of St. Louis, Mo., Arthur and Ernest of Monona, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Arno Kaiser of Monona.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Julius and Arno. Two brothers and one sister died in infancy.

Music for the service was supplied by Don Sabbann, soloist, together with Mrs. George Heins Jr. organist.

Pallbearers were nine nephews: Walter, Erwin, Glendor, Everett and Lloyd Drahn, Gordon Schultz and Virgil Kaiser, all of Monona, Keith Kishman of Luana, and the Rev. Dean Hoferer of Dundee.
