Clayton County Register, 06 Feb. 1958.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, Feb. 01, for Wade Chandler, 73, retired town employee who died last Thursday at the Manchester hospital. Services were held at the Witt chapel with the Rev. George Richter officiating. Burial was in the East Side cemetery.

A son of Henry and Jo Ann (Brack) Chandler, he was born in Arkansas on November 05, 1884. In Elkader he was employed in the town street department for many years.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Evelyn) Weber of Colgate, Wis., and one son, Aubrey, of Middle Church, Manitoba, Canada. He also leaves a brother, Robert Chandler, of Boone, Colorado, and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Barney, of Silmoan Springs, Ark.

Casket bearers for the funeral were: Albert Holden, Gerald Nestby, Walter Allen and Orville Sullivan.
