The death of Glen W. Little, 61, occurred early Sunday, January 12, 1958, at the Veterans hospital in Iowa City, where he had been a patient for several days. The past two years, he had been in failing health.

Glen William Little, son of James and Mary Shea Little, was born April 04, 1896, at Wadena, Fayette county, Iowa. He grew to manhood in the Volga community and attended the Volga schools.

In 1927, at Chicago, Ill., he was united in marriage with Miss Hilda Klingman of Elgin. During their married life, they farmed in Illyria.

Four children were born to them: Donald Dean Little, Oelwein; Mrs. Luella Kauten, Waterloo; Earl Little, Wadena, and Jean of Leighton, Ohio, all of whom survive; three grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. James Little, Volga; three brothers, Ray, Dubuque; Leo, Volga; Francis, Tempe, Ariz.; four sisters, Mrs. Albert Meyers, Volga; Mrs. Ralph Behrens, Strawberry Point; Mrs. Lester Stahl, Elkader; Mrs. Delbert Manning, Cedar Rapids, and other relatives. His wife Hilda survives and lives on their farm in Illyria.

Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Muehlenthaler funeral home in Elgin to Sacred Heart church in Volga at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Karl J. Klein, pastor was celebrant of the requiem high mass and also officiated at the graveside in the church cemetery where interment was made.

Mr. Little was a World War veteran and experienced overseas service in France.

Casket bearers were: Herbert Ash, Louis Becker, Earl Kiple, Arthur Chapman, Walter Dennler and Oran Bane of Elgin.

His father, James Little, preceded him in death in 1954.
