Clayton County Register, 09 Jan. 1958.
Henry Losch, son of Mathias and Louise Losch, was born January 13, 1881, in Boardman township, Clayton county, Iowa, and died Jan. 06, 1958, of a heart ailment.
On May 09, 1916, he was united in marriage to Gusta Scheffert at Elkader.
Mr. Losch farmed practically all his life. In 1936, he moved to Elkader.
He is survived by one son, Francis Losch of Guttenberg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and eleven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 08, 1958, at St. Joseph's Catholic church at 9:30 a.m., with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Daniel A. Gorman officiating.
Burial was at St. Joseph's cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Fred Hennig, Ed Steffen, Fred Eggiman and Sylvester Thillen.
Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were Dr. and Mrs. Merle Miller of Ossian.
