Andrew O. Wold, son of Kari and Ole Wold was born March 12, 1867, in Wagner township and died at his home in St. Olaf, October 03, 1952, at the age of 85 years.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Norway Lutheran church of which he was a lifelong member. He served on the church board for a number of years. He was a member of the town council of St. Olaf for many years.

Andrew Wold spent his entire life in this community, living on a farm west of St. Olaf, then moving to St. Olaf.

He was united in marriage to Nellie Nelson. To this union were born one daughter, Arleta, and one son, Burdett.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, his father and mother, one sister and two brothers. He is survived by his wife; His son Burdett of Monona; his daughter, Mrs. Verdine Barnum of Kalona; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Embretson and Mrs. Louis Rierson; two brothers, Theodore Wold and Ben Wold; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were: Waldo and Lorando Embretson, Kenneth Olson, Randolph Reierson, Clifford and Realto Wold, Raymond Tollefson and Donald Houg.
