Funeral services for Mrs. William Ball were held Sunday from the Witt funeral chapel in Elkader to St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church at Garber, the Rev. G. E. Hesse officiating. Burial was in Musfeldt cemetery near Elkport.

Pallbearers were: Lawrence Waterman, Martin Waterman, Arnold Waterman, Alfred Waterman, Wilbur Wille and Arthur Krieg.

Mrs. Emma Ball, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Krieg, was born March 15, 1906, in Elk township, Clayton county. On Dec. 03, 1924, she was married to Wm. Ball. Three children were born to them. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church in Garber.

Mrs. Ball was taken seriously ill and was taken to the Memorial hospital in Manchester where she was operated on but did not recover as hoped for, and died Wednesday, Sept. 03.

Survivors are her husband; one son, Pvt. Merlin Ball; two daughters, Mrs. Jerrold Ewing, Elkport, and Mrs. Gerold Swisher, Garber; one granddaughter, Ellen Ewing; one sister, Mrs. Albert Jaster, Elkport.
