Miss Clara Miller, 72, died at her farm home two miles northwest of Elkader Friday, Aug. 08, 1952. She had been in ill health for several years suffering from a diabetic condition. Death was due to a heart attack.
Services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church at 10 o'clock Monday morning, Aug. 11. The Rev. Cletus Hawes officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery.
Miss Miller was born in Boardman township January 16, 1880, the daughter of Peter and Josephine Willmes Miller. She had lived her entire life on the farm where she died. She and her two brothers operated the farm.
She received her education in St. Joseph's school, Elkader. She was a member of St. Joseph's church.
Survivors are four brothers, Philip and Domnick on the home farm and Nick and Mike of Elkader. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Peter and John.
Pallbearers were: Dr. M. J. Miller, Eldo G. Meyer, Art Hoover, John Miller, Herb Masuen, James Humphry.

Detsch, Gregory Humphrey, Miss Heda Grogan, Miss Mary Louise Guming, all of Chicago; Dr. and Mrs. M. J. Miller, Ossian; Mr. and Mrs. Heisler, Dubuque; J. R. Schulte and Miss Alvina Schulte, both of Tulsa, Okla.; Clem Steffen, Dubuque.
