DIED - Geo. Atwood, a one-legged apple dealer of McGregor is dead. He resisted the rudeness of some soldiers at a house of questionable reputation in Pr du Chien several weeks ago and was stabbed in his remaining leg - the wound caused his death on the 11th inst.

George was a cripple and a harmless man in his intercourse with the people on this side of the river, but [illegible line] was given him.
