Funeral services were held at Garnavillo Monday, June 30, 1952, for G. Henry H. Schoulte, 79, who died Thursday, June 26, at St. Joseph's Mercy hospital in Dubuque. The Rev. L. C. Ickel conducted the services at St. Joseph's church at 9:30 a.m. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery.
Mr. Schoulte was born October 29, 1872 at National, the son of Frank and Mary Kann Schoulte.
He married Hattie Berns at Garnavillo October 08, 1902 and the couple farmed near National until 1934 when they retired to Garnavillo.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Ronilla Connor, Monona; Mrs. Rita Kann, Guttenberg; Mrs. Anna Link, McGregor; a son, Lloyd, McGregor. One daughter, Ethel Kann, preceded him in death.
Other survivors are 18 grandchildren; four sisters, Catherine, Dubuque; Mrs. Adolph Reginnitter, Presho, S.D.; Mrs. Grace McLaughlin, East St. Louis, Ill.; and Mrs. Hilda Eglseder, Garnavillo; three brothers, William, Pasadena, Calif.; Oliver and Casper, McGregor; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were: William Schoulte, Pasadena, Calif.; Mrs. Mattie Schoulte, River Falls, South Dakota.
