Clayton County Register, 19 June 1952.

Funeral services for Charles Wagner were held at St. Joseph's church, Elkader, Friday morning June 13. The Rev. Father Robert Ferring officiated. Burial was at St. Joseph's cemetery.

Mr. Wagner died at the Larson nursing home in St. Olaf. He had been ill for several years. Death was due to a stroke.

Charles Wagner was born at Elkader, Ia., April 15, 1876, the son of Emil and Caroline Wagner. He received his education in the rural schools near his home.

In 1918 at St. Joseph's church in Elkader he was united in marriage to Miss Alice Finnegan and spent the most part of his life farming. He was a member of St. Joseph's church, Elkader.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Don (Mary) Eulberg, West Union, Ia.; Mrs. Edwin (Marguerite) Moser, Rockford, Ill; also five grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Nick Finnegan, Russell Huggins, Joe Collins, Virgil Uriell, Clarence Lynch, Mike Garaghty.

Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were: Edwin Moser and Tommy, Rockford, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wagner, Charles City; Mr. and Mrs. Don Eulberg, West Union; Mr. and Mrs. Realto Berns, Elkport.
