Funeral services for Miss Anna Kelleher were held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the Witt Funeral home, and at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's church at Elkader. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. B. H. Skahill officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery.

Miss Kelleher died in the Community hospital in McGregor, Friday, Oct. 19, 1951. She had been ill for the past three weeks. Death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage.

Anna Stacia Kelleher was born on a farm in Boardman township Sept. 03, 1869, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Kelleher and had lived in this vicinity all her life. She moved to Elkader in 1934. She was chief ranger of the Catholic Order of Foresters. She was also active in the state group and a member of St. Joseph's church in Elkader. She had reached the age of 82 years, one month and sixteen days at the time of death.

She is survived by a brother, Edward of Marcus, Iowa; also three half-sisters, Mrs. John Zoch, Mrs. Stella Beard and Miss Klo Kelleher, all of Los Angeles, Calif., a nephew James Kelleher who made his home with her, and other niece's and nephews.

Pallbearers were: Clyde Smith, Gerald Feeney, John Roach, Peter Dunn, Joe Hoover and Joe Muench.

Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Kelleher, Marcus, Iowa; Mrs. John Hennessey, Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hanlon, Oelwein; Mrs. Lizzie Ploog and Joe Kelleher, both of Dubuque.
