Funeral services for Mrs. S. P. Wolf, 74, were held at the Methodist church in Strawberry Point, Monday afternoon, with the Rev. Wayne L. Carlson in charge.
Mary Marie Hildebrand was born near Littleport on May 20, 1877, the daughter of Christian and Katherine Helgerman Hildebrand.
On Sept. 13, 1899, she was married to S. P. Wolf at her parents' home. Three daughters and three sons were born to them, two of whom died in infancy.
Most of her life was spent on the farm home northeast of Strawberry Point and it was only about six months ago that Mr. and Mrs. Wolf moved to town. Mrs. Wolf died Saturday, Aug. 18, after a brief illness.
She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Carl (Lona) Burgin, Mrs. Alva (Hannah) Johnson and Mrs. Helen Coffin, all of Strawberry Point; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Meese of Littleport; a brother, Charles Hildebrand of Edgewood, and 12 grandchildren.
