Clayton County Register, 20 June 1957.

MONONA: Services were held Monday, June 17, at St. Patrick's church at 9:30 a.m. for Mike Jermier, 80. The Rev. John Peters officiated. Burial was in St. Wenceslaus cemetery east of Monona.

Mr. Jermier, son of Albert and Veruna (nee Shaffar) Jermier, was born in Linton township, Allamakee cnty, on Feb. 13, 1877, and died at the Lutheran hospital in LaCrosse, Wis., June 14. He had been a patient there since April 29. Previous to that he had spent nine weeks in the Waukon hospital.

He was educated in the rural school and together with his brother John followed the occupation of farming on the farm where he was born. In 1945, when his health began to fail, he retired to Monona.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother, Albert, and two sisters, Jennie and Mrs. Frank (Anna) Van Cura.

He is survived by one brother, John Jermier of Monona, two sisters, Mrs. Kate Rissman of Lansing and Mrs. Mary Kohout of Ft. Atkinson, five nephews and six nieces.

The Schultz funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
