Clayton County Register, 09 July 1941.

STRAWBERRY POINT: Fred F. Homann, a native of Germany, where he was born January 03, 1858, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harry Mitchell, June 25, at the age of 83.

He came with his mother to America when seven years of age and they settled in the vicinity of Osborne, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Ida Rohn in 1892. To this union four children were born, three of whom survive. they are: Mrs. Harry Mitchell and Elmer Homann of Strawberry Point and Mrs. Lizzie Hulbert of Arlington. There are also five grandchildren and one grandchild, other relatives and friends.

The funeral was held Saturday at the Gill Funeral Chapel with the Rev. L. A. Stumme officiating. Pallbearers were Charles Wagner, Fred Wagner, George Ehrhardt, John Sturm, Miles Alderson and Pete Wolf. Burial was at Littleport.
