Peter Tresch died April 10, 1941, at the home of his sister, Mrs. E. Scheffert here in Elkader following a lingering illness of about two years.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Tresch, he was born on a farm near Elkader on October 02, 1875. He reached the age of 74 years, six months and eight days.
He never married but, for many years, made his home with his sister, who, together with one brother - John Tresch, also of Elkader - survive.
Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's church here Monday morning and burial was made in St. Joseph's cemetery, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. P. Taken officiating.
Casket bearers were: Ben Meyer, Ed. Steffen, Nicholas Miller, Sylvester Thillen and John Poull.
Relatives from a distance who came to attend the services were: Mrs. Bertha Scheffert and son Paul of Chicago; Harry Kaber of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Scheffert of Marshalltown.

CORRECTION.
In the last issue of the Register the age of Peter Tresch, at the time of his death, was given as 74 years, six months and eight days. The correct age is 65 years, six months and eight days.
