Raymond Humphrey, 46, Elkader resident, died on the jail lawn Thursday night after he had driven a car for police officers taking two drunken men to jail. Cause of death was ruled a heart attack by E. A. Tuecke, Coroner. Mr. Humphrey had suffered from a weak heart for years.
Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's church at 9:30 Monday morning, Aug. 12. The Rev. E. A. Fitzgerald officiated at the requiem mass. Burial was in the St. Joseph's cemetery.
