Schmidt - Davis marriage - 1954

At St. Mary's Catholic church in Strawberry Point, Nov. 24, Miss V. Joanne Davis became the bride of LeRoy M. Schmidt. The Rev. Father Robert Palen officiated. Attending the couple were Don Schmidt, brother of the groom, and Lorraine Davis, sister of the bride. Ushers were Mark Davis, brother of the bride, and Richard Wiley, friend of the couple. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Davis and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Schmidt, all of Strawberry Point.

The bride is a graduate of Strawberry Point high school and also a graduate of Mount Mercy college, department of nursing. At present she is employed in the Psychopathic ward at University hospitals in Iowa City. The groom is a graduate of Strawberry Point high school, served two years in the U.S. Army, and now is a sophomore student in commerce at the State University.

The new couple will be at home at 18 N. Dodge St., Iowa City.
