Emanuel Lutheran church, Strawberry Point, was the scene, Nov. 14, when Marilyn Mae Bowers and William P. Behrens exchanged wedding vows. The Rev. S. J. Meyer officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Bowers of Strawberry Point, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Will L. Behrens of Arlington. Jacquie Kay Bowers, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Marge Behrens, Arlington, sister of the groom, was junior bridesmaid. Guenther Behrens, Arlington, cousin of the groom, served as best man. Brenda Fisher, God-child of the bride, acted as flower girl, and Hugh Lickiss, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer. The bride's grandmothers, Mrs. Christian Otterbeck and Mrs. Will Bowers were present for the wedding.
Mrs. Behrens was born at Strawberry Point and graduated from Arlington high school. Mr. Behrens was born in Arlington and graduated from high school there. He also attended Upper Iowa university and is now buttermaker at the Festina creamery.
Following a wedding trip, the young couple will be at home in Eldorado.
