Miss Janice Meyer of Colesburg and Loren Scherf of Farmersburg were united in marriage at St. John's Lutheran church on Oct. 25. The Rev. R. H. Steege officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Meyer of Colesburg, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Scherf of Farmersburg. Mrs. Verdine Glawe, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Carl Funk, cousin of the groom, sang several selections. Zala Schultz, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor, and Mrs. Eldean Scherf, sister-in-law of the groom, served as bridesmaid. Miss Vernelda Scherf, sister of the groom served as junior bridesmaid. William Scherf Jr., brother of the groom, served as best man, and Eldean Scherf, also a brother of the groom, served as groomsman. Gene Meyer, brother of the bride, served as junior groomsman. Ushers were Verdine Glawe, brother-in-law of the groom, and William Thiese, cousin of the bride.
The bride was employed in the American pearl button shop in Guttenberg. The groom was discharged from the Army in August.
