Bahls - Freitag marriage - 1954

Peace Evangelical and Reformed church in Elkader was the scene for the wedding of Miss Marilyn Freitag and Harold Bahls on Saturday, Oct. 30. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glendor Freitag of Elkader, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bahls, also of Elkader. Matron of honor was Mrs. Jack Stemmer, aunt of the groom, and the groom was attended by his uncle, Jack Stemmer. Ushers were Ivan Freitag, brother of the bride, and Dwayne Bahls, brother of the groom.

Mrs. Bahls is a graduate of the Elkader high school and has been employed by the Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. in Elkader, where she will continue her work. Mr. Bahls was recently discharged from the Army after serving in Korea for the past 26 months and is now employed at the Allen Motor Co. in Elkader, where the new home will be made.
