Houg - Bindig marriage - 1954

MONONA: Miss Evelyn Katherine Bindig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Bindig, and Carl Wayne Houg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl O. Houg, Monona, were united in marriage in the Monona Methodist church. The Rev. E. Wayne Hilmer officiated. Miss Joyce Carlson, Antioch, Wis., friend of the bride, was matron of honor, and Miss Mary Lou Marting, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid. Gary Houg, brother of the groom, was best man, and Bill Welch, friend of the groom, was his attendant. Robert Fett, Froelich, cousin of the bride, Roger Tayek, McGregor, cousin of the groom, and Wallace M. Bindig Jr., brother of the bride, were the ushers. Miss Barbara Bindig, sister of the bride, was flower girl, and Brad Sabbann, cousin of the groom, served as ring bearer.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Houg are graduates of the Monona high school. Mr. Houg is employed by the Bindig Firestone store and the bride will continue working in the Fox Drug store.

The new couple will be at home in Monona.
