Miss Donna Tieden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Tieden, became the bride of Carl Wessel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Irving Wessel of Edgewood, Sunday, May 02, in the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Mrs. Fred Fenchel of Cedar Rapids was matron of honor, and Mrs. LeRoy Lewin, of Edgewood, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. Don Vontalge of Edgewood, cousin of the groom, served as groomsman. Dale Tieden, cousin of the bride, sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "Always'" Ushers were Harvey Witte Jr. of Marion, cousin of the bride, and Burton Kruger, of Edgewood, friend of the couple.
A reception was held in the church parlors, at which Mrs. Harvey Witte Sr., aunt of the bride, cut the cake, and Miss Ila Lee Vontalge, cousin of the groom, poured.
The new couple left on a weeks' trip thru the west, after which they will reside in Edgewood, where the groom is employed.
