Miss Arlene Rodas and Alger H. Halvorson exchanged wedding vows at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Garnavillo Saturday afternoon, Nov. 24. The Rev. L. C. Urlaub officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Rodas of Garnavillo, and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Nels Halvorson of New Hampton, Iowa. The bride was attended by Miss June Amann, a friend of the bride, as maid of honor, and Miss Nancy Rodas, niece of the bride. James Halvorson served his brother as best man, and James Johnson of Cedar Rapids was groomsman. Roger Mohning of McGregor and Harold Flatjoid of Cedar Rapids seated the guests.
A reception for 200 guests was held in the church parlors, at which Mrs. Foster Mohning, sister of the bride, had charge of the guest book. Mrs. Fred Rodas, aunt of the bride, and Thelma Hamblin, friend of the bride, cut and served the cake. Mrs. Alto Rodas and Mrs. Irvin Rodas, sisters-in-law of the bride, poured.
The bride is employed at the Iowa Manufacturing Co., and the groom at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids. They will be at home at 1553 D Ave. N.E., Cedar Rapids.
