At St. Mary's Catholic church Saturday, Aug. 18, Miss Dorothy Nading, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Nading, became the bride of Gerold Chapman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Chapman, all of Strawberry Point. The Rev. Father Robert Palen officiated. Mrs. Wendell Kirkpatrick, Longview, Wash., sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Miss Jacquelyn Chapman, sister of the groom, was maid of honor. Sharon and Judith Chapman, sisters of the groom, were junior bridesmaids. Monica, Mary and Rhonda Nading, nieces of the bride, served as flower girls. Vic Gallo, friend of the couple, was best man, and James Nading, brother of the bride, was groomsman.
The bride attended Iowa State Teachers college and has been a member of the Strawberry Point faculty, where she taught kindergarten the past year. This fall she will be teaching kindergarten at Wilton Junction. The groom attended the College of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minn., and is now a senior in the Department of Journalism at the University of Iowa.
The new couple will be at home at Wilton Junction.
