Roys - Martin marriage - 1956

At Sacred Heart church, Saturday, Miss Sandra Lucille Martin became the bride of John B. Roys. The Rev. Karl J. Klein , pastor, officiated. The bride is the daughter of the Michael J. Martins. Miss Lavon Martin the bride's sister, was maid of honor. and Miss Madonna Manderscheid, a college roommate of the bride, was bridesmaid. William Roys attended his brother as best man. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Walter Roys, and is a graduate of the Volga high school.

The bride graduated from the Volga high school and Iowa State Teachers college. The past two years, she taught fifth grade in the Washington Irving school in Waverly. She has been elected to teach fifth grade this year in Hiff, Colo. Since his return from the service, the groom has been associated with the Dowell Chemical Co. in Sterling, Colo., where the new couple will reside.
