Garaghty - Mahowald marriage - 1956

GARAGHTY, MAHOWALD, PARKER, WOLTER

St. Mary's church in Guttenberg was the scene, April 17, of the marriage of Betty Jane Mahowald, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Mahowald of Guttenberg, and John Garaghty, son of the late Mrs. John Garaghty of Elkader. The Rev. Father McBride officiated. Peppy Mahowald, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bonnie Parker, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Best man was John Boland, a friend of the groom.

A breakfast for the bridal party was given by Mrs. Clyde Parker, a sister of the bride, at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Hattie Wolter.

Mr. and Mrs. Garaghty will make their home on a far near Elkader.
