Miss Betty Flagel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. NeValle Flagel of Garnavillo, became the bride of Orville Schierholz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Schierholz of Colesburg, Apr. 14, 1956. The Rev. L. C. Urlaub officiated the ceremony in St. Paul's Lutheran church at Garnavillo.
