Zion Evangelical Lutheran church at Clayton Center, Iowa, was the setting, Feb. 03, for the wedding of Miss Zala Schultz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Art Schultz of Garber, and Cletus Baade, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Baade of Elkader. The Rev. Claire Biegler officiated. Soloist Robert Bushkofsky, brother-in-law of the groom, sang several selections. Mrs. Loren Scherf, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor, and Miss Judy Baade, sister of the groom, and Miss VaNelle Henning, cousin of the groom, were bridesmaids. Miss Dorothy Kruse, cousin of the bride, and Miss Lorna Baade, sister of the groom, were candle lighters. Maxine Kruse, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Vernielle Marmann, friend of the groom, was best man, and groomsmen were Leon Hoth and Donald Marmann. Paul Doeppke, cousin of the bride, and Robert Bushkofsky were ushers.
Mrs. Baade is a graduate of the Garnavillo consolidated high school, and her husband is a graduate of the Elkader high school and is engaged in farming.
