Hulda Ritter, 31, born Ohio
Samuel Ritter, 9, born Ohio
Sarah Ritter, 4, born Iowa
Jacob Ritter, 2, born Iowa
Mary J. Ritter, 3 months, born Iowa

In the 1880 Iowa census, Jacob Ritter is enumerated with his brother-in-law and sister, Anderson and Sarah Galer in Rush Lake, Palo Alto, Iowa

Jacob Ritter, born in Linn County, Iowa married in Clay County, Iowa on 11 August 1881. His father is listed as Charles Ritter and his mother as Hulda Swallms.

In the 1856 Linn County, Iowa census, Charles Ritter, Hulda Ritter and Samuel Ritter are enumerated.

Ohio Marriage records for Morrow County list:
Charles Ritter to Hulda Swalloms on 7 Novemnber 1850.
