Sam Miller ran a popcorn wagon on the walk just outside of Bjornstad Drug; the NW corner of Grand and West 4th St. It was right where some kid in 1931 through a sparkler into a box of fireworks and nearly burned down the downtown. Sam never sold ice cream since he didn't have any way to keep it cold; just popcorn and nuts. Sam lived in a little house on West 2nd St.

"Red" Bartelson ran a number of barber shops and his last one was on the East side of Grand next to the Spencer Theater. He once cut my hair but was drunk so I never went back.
