Mrs. Mary Franker, wife of Eli Franker, living near Royal died at her home on Monday. Mrs. Franker had been a sufferer for many years with asthma and her death was caused by a complication of diseases arising from this ailment.

Mrs. Franker was born in Canada in May, 1854. Her maiden name was Mary Delebac. She grew to womanhood and was married to Eli Franker in the state of Illinois. In 1882 the family came to Clay county from St. Anne, Illinois, living for some time on one of the Goyette farms near Royal. Later they moved to a farm owned by B.F. Felt of Spencer which they occupied for twenty years. Three years ago they purchased a farm home of their own where Mrs. Franker died.

Mr. and Mrs. Franker were the parents of a large family. Some of the children have preceded the mother in death. Those who, with the husband, are left are: Will, Jewel; Middor, Adelor, Frank, Felix and Mrs. John Brooms of White Rock, South Dakota. A number of the sons are married and live with their families near Royal.

Funeral services were held this morning at ten o'clock at the Catholic church at Royal. Interment was made at the Clay Center cemetery.
