DROWNED - Mr. N. Simpson, a prominent business man of Nashua, was drowned in the river there on Sunday morning. He was also proprietor of a jewelry store at Waukon, which was in charge of his brother.

Mr. Simpson rode his horse into the river to wash it off, when the swift current carried the horse from its fee and Mr. Simpson fell off and was drowned. - 'Decorah Bee'
