OLD SETTLER DIES AT WEBSTER CITY

A. M. Perry An Old Resident of Afton Township Leaves Family to Mourn Death

A. M. Perry, father of Mrs. Geo. Mummert, passed away Tuesday evening at Webster City.

Mr. Perry was an old settler of Afton township, homesteading there. He was an old soldier. He lived in this county until about four years ago when he moved to Webster City, the home of his second wife. He leaves beside his widow five children, two sons, John and Alzona, and three daughters Mrs. Frank Mummert, Mrs. Doan Mummert, and Mrs. Frank Phipps of this county.

The remains will arrive today, and the funeral will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow from the Christian church. (Source: The Cherokee Times, Mon., Aug 9, 1915, pg. 5)
