William J. ``Joe'' Vosburgh, 65, of 2209 N. Shore Drive, Clear Lake, died Tuesday (Dec. 5, 1995) at the Americana Healthcare Center in the company of his family.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. today (Dec. 7, 1995) at the Fullerton Funeral Home, Rockwell, with the Rev. Robert Dodge of the Rockwell United Methodist Church, Rockwell, officiating. Interment will be in the Rockwell Cemetery.

Friends may sign the register after 9 a.m. today and the family will greet friends after 11 a.m. The casket will be closed.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make donations to the military.

Joe was born Sept. 8, 1930, in Rockwell, the son of Dell and Ila (Angell) Vosburgh.

He attended and graduated from Rockwell High School.

A year later, he joined the United States Air Force and served for five years. He was with the Air Force Intelligence in Scotland where he met and married Robin Williams, his bride of 42 years.

After returning from the service, he attended Mason City Junior College and the University of Iowa.

He enjoyed a career in sales and was a field representative for the Iowa Job Service until suffering a stroke in February of 1968.

He was a post commander of the American Legion in Rockwell and was a member of the DAV and VFW.

Joe's will to live and unmatched spirit will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Robin, and his four children, Bob, Sascha, Dell and Sonja; his three sisters, Jean, June and Wanda; as well as his eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
