Funeral services for Olive Marie Eich, 81, West Branch, were held March 17, 1997 at St. Bernadette Catholic church in West Branch, with the Rev. Ed O'Melia officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mrs. Eich died March 14 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City, following a long illness.

She was born June 18, 1915 in Lohrville. She attended Jolly school in Jolly. She married Leroy Eich July 16, 1941 in Carroll.

The couple moved to West Branch in 1946. After her husband's death in 1970, she owned and operated the East Side Cafe in West Branch until retiring in 1992.

She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic church.

Mrs. Eich is survived by a nephew, Jack Kennison, Peach Tree City, Ga.; a niece, Jean Dobson, Cedar Falls; and a sister-in-law, Betty West, West Branch. She was preceded in death by her husband.
