Funeral services for Alma L. Hansen, 81, Marion and formerly of Clarence, will be held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, March 19, 1997 at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Marion, with the Rev. Thomas Hedtke officiating. Ruth Ann Hansen is the organist and pallbearers are LeRoy and Gary Jackson, David Siebels, and Marlin, Kelvin and Glenn Lehrman. Burial will be in the Stanwood cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to service time at the church today, March 19.

Mrs. Hansen died March 16 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness.

The daughter of Paul and Ida Luedeman Lehrman, she was born April 24, 1915 in Stanwood. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Stanwood. She married Raymond Hansen Dec. 2, 1934 in rural Stanwood.

The couple lived in Clarence before moving to Marion in 1982.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church in Marion and the St. Paul's 55 and older senior club. She enjoyed flowers and cooking and especially enjoyed reading.

Mrs. Hansen is survived by her husband; 2 daughters, Ruth Ann Hansen, Park Forest, Ill. and Marlaine and husband Merlyn Wilken, Anamosa; a son, Eldon and wife Bonnie, Fairfax; 2 sisters, Louise (Mrs. Lawrence) Siebels, Mechanicsville and Helen (Mrs. Buell) Jackson, Mechanicsville; 3 brothers, Herbert Lehrman, Olin; and Arnold and Melvin Lehrman, Mechanicsville; 4 grandchildren; and 3 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Allen.
