Funeral services for Fred Allen Beiermann, 76, Tipton, were held March 4, 1997 at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton, with the Rev. Richard Paulus officiating. Pallbearers were Wayne, Rich and Scott Stout; Ron and John Templeman; and James Bartlett. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.
Mr. Beiermann died Feb. 28 at the Crestview Care Center in West Branch, following an extended illness.
The son of John and Emma Schneider Beiermann, he was born March 1, 1920 in Muscatine county. He attended Cedar county schools. He married Evelyn Murray Aug. 29, 1946 in Davenport. She died in 1954. He married Edna Pedersen March 7, 1958 in Atrmando, Miss. She died in 1989.
Mr. Beiermann farmed for 50 years, beginning in 1947, and he raised cattle and hogs.
He was a 50 year member of Golden Rule Masonic Lodge No. 24 in Rochester. He was a past member of the Tipton Moose and the Farm Bureau. He was a member of the Methodist faith.
Mr. Beiermann is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth (James) Bartlett, Cedar Rapids; 2 sons, John (Bert) Templeman, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Ronald (Carol) Templeman, Lakewood, Colo.; a brother, Glenn (Henrietta) Beiermann, West Branch; a niece and nephew, Bev and Wayne Stout, West Branch; 8 grandchildren, Connie Kalina, Karen Anderson, Mike, Mitch and Ryan Templeman, Malinda Ebert, Tricia Loucks and Terri Sedlack; and 11 great-grandchildren, Rachel, Matthew, Stephanie, Tyler, Brenden, Christian, Taylor, Stephanie, Jaycie, Marcus and Jaimie. He was preceded in death by his parents and both wives.
Memorials may be made to the Diabetes and Cancer Societies.
