Funeral services for Daryl Walter Ballenger, 54, were held at Peace Church of Christ United, Bennett, March 21, burial with military rites by Post 104 of the American Legion, Bennett, in Inland cemetery.

Mr. Ballenger died at Mercy hospital, Davenport, March 18.

The son of Walter and Inez Ballenger, he was born in Muscatine county July 13, 1933. He married Darlene Giebelstein in Bennett in 1956. They farmed northeast of Bennett.

Mr. Ballenger was an army veteran of the Korean war entering service Dec. 3, 1953 and serving overseas for 18 months with the A6 Transportation Company. He was a member of the AMVETS and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. David (Nancy) Donovan, Elgin, Ill.; 2 sons, Larry and Dean, both of Bennett; a brother, Ronald, Moscow and 2 sisters, Mrs. Allan (Kathryn) Ball and Mrs. Michael (Frances) Carter, Muscatine.
