Graveside services for Theodore (Ted) Petersen, 59, were held at the Tipton Masonic cemetery Dec. 27 with the Rev. Robert Molsberry officiating. Mr. Petersen died at the Americana Nursing home, Cedar Rapids Dec. 24.

The son of Harry and Hazel Anderson Petersen, he was born near Rochester Sept. 10, 1927. He was educated in special education classes at Tipton. He spent his life in the Tipton area.

He is survived by his father, Harry Petersen, Tipton; 2 brothers, Cecil, Marion and Elmer (Jake), Tipton; a sister, Mrs. Fern Kautz, St. Louis, Mo. and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.
