Funeral services for Arnold H. Hennings, 79, Mesa, Ariz., retired Tipton area farmer, were held at the Sheets and Son Funeral Home Dec. 20 with Dr. Jerrold Swinton officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Pallbearers were Bruce Zaruba, Don Hennings, Lewis Conklin, Ken Jehle and Kevin Rauch. Teresa Hennings was vocalist. Betty Trevathan was organist.

Mr. Hennings died at the Helen Lincoln Extended Care center, Glendale, Ariz. Dec. 17.

The son of William and Katherine Peterson Hennings, he was born at Wheatland March 5, 1907. As a child he lived with his stepfather, Frank Riedesel. He attended the rural schools of Cedar county. He was married to Wilma Osborn in Tipton April 4, 1928.

He farmed in the Tipton area until his retirement. He had lived in Mesa, Ariz. for 7 years. He was a former member of the IOOF lodge in Tipton.

Mr. Hennings is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Ann Norris, Glendale, Ariz.; a son, Russell Dean, Davenport, 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Leota Conner, West Liberty and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother.
