Requiem high mass for Edmund Eugene Merritt, 39, was celebrated at St. Mary church in Tipton Feb. 18 with the Rev. Ray J. Pacha officiating. The mass was sung by the congregation with Mrs. Reno Droll as organist.

Pallbearers were Raymond Penningroth, Martin Kipp, Reid and Howard Thien, Charles Gibbons and Carl Frederick. Burial was in St. Mary cemetery.

Mr. Merritt, a lifelong invalid, died at his home Feb. 17.

The son of Edmund Eugene and Fay Sebina Burk Merritt, he was born March 15, 1929 at Davenport. He was tutored by his aunt, Edna Burk.

He spent his life in Tipton and was a member of St. Mary church.

He is survived by his mother and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and his aunt, Edna Burk.
