Operations Fatal

Dr. Palmer Findley and two nurses came over from Omaha Tuesday morning, and with the assistance of Dr. Plunket operated on Mrs. Henry Herstein and Mrs. Ansil Billings, the latter for gall-stones. Mrs. Herstein was apparently near death's door before the operation, and her time on earth seemed to be short, either with or without an operation. She passed away yesterday morning at 7 o'clock.

Mrs. Billings rallied nicely from her operation and was thought to be getting along as nicely as could be expected. About 5 o'clock she began sinking, and crossed over the the other side at 6:30.

At the time of closing our forms we cannot learn the time of either funeral. Undertaker Bailey informs us that Mrs. Billings will probably be buried this afternoon.
