WELL KNOWN MAN PASSESS AWAY AT HOME LAST NIGHT

John B. Butler, Resident Here All His Life, Dies Suddenly At Pymosa Twp Home – Funeral Monday

John Bradbury Butler, one of the best known and best loved men in the county, where he had lived all his life, died about 10:30 last night at his home in Pymosa township. Death was sudden. Deceased had been troubled with indigestion for several days buy was not thought to be serious and felt better yesterday, and his death came with a decided shock and surprise to his family and friends.

Was Fifty-one Years Old

Mr. Butler was born January 16th, 1871, in this county, and was the son of John W. and Florentine [Edwards] Butler. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Martha Ellen Butler, and five children. The children are: Guy Butler, living near the home place; Myrtle, Opal, Dale and Thelma at home. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. G.W. Ringle, of Long Beach, California and three brothers, E.O. Butler of Dexter, Emmett E. Butler and Bert L. Butler of Atlantic. There is one grandson aged one year.

Well Known

Mr. Butler was widely known. He was a member of the M.W.A. and also a member of the Buck Creek M.E. church, having been superintendent of the Sunday school of that church for fifteen years.

Funeral Monday

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at two o’clock at the Buck Creek church, the Rev. S.W. Hohanhelt, formerly pastor there, officiating. Internment will be in the Atlantic cemetery.
