Mrs. Avery Stevenson passed away March 28th at the family home in Adair county, midway between Anita and Adair, following an illness extending over a year or more. The shock of the death of her mother, Mrs. Sara Jane Whited, two weeks ago, seemed to hasten the end. She was 32 years old.

Jennie Elizabeth Whited was born in Cass county, December 2, 1889. Her marriage to Avery Stevenson occurred Febraury 26, 1908. Five children were born to them, of whom three sons and one daughter survive. Mrs. Stevenson also leaves four sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Mary Brown of Lake Wilson, Minn.; Mrs. Bertha Keasey of Wiota; Mrs. Nellie Tompkin of Eddyville, Neb; Miss Anna Whited of Anita; Simon Whited of Wichita, Kan; William Whited of Hinkley, Minn.

The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock, from the Methodist church in Anita, in charge of the services, the Rev. W. R. Radcliff. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery,
